New Businesses in Old Pasadena

What used to be E’s is now Liv Lounge! Asking the contractors while they worked on the new lounge, I inferred that the business was still owned by the same people, but they just decided to give it a nice facelift (and new name). From what I could tell, the new place is much trendier and better designed than its previous version. It is a nice addition to the night life that Old Pasadena thrives on.

In addition, Chozo Mama from Burbank will be opening up across the street from Liv Lounge in what used to be the Hooters restaurant space (they left due to restrictions on alcohol licensing apparently). A quick peek at their website reveals what looks to be a very delicious Peruvian restaurant. Hopefully they’ll have later hours to add to a thriving night life in Old Pasadena.

Oooh, Peruvian food & bakery! Sounds like a nice change over Hooters. I hadn’t even noticed Hooters left – any idea why?

    • The only thing I liked about Hooters was the fried hot wings and possibly the fried pickles! But besides that, this new Peruvian restaurant should be a welcome addition to Old Pasadena given the local roots with only one other location in Burbank.

  2. Choza Mama has a small shop in Burbank, EXCELLENT food, SPECTACULAR grilled chicken. Can’t wait to see what the same food plus a bakery has to offer. Looking forward to it.
