Pasadena Restaurant Update

A simple eye catching sign stating "Crepes Coming Soon!" hangs on the diminutive 800 square feet brick building on Union St.

Some exciting new restaurant developments are happening around Downtown Pasadena. From Old Pasadena to South Lake Avenue, each district has something going on. Check out the pictures below.

Sugar Fix

With little to no activity for almost a year, it looks like Sugar Fix is finally close to opening in Old Pasadena

Build out was slow, but it looks like substantial progress has been made in the last few weeks and Sugar Fix could be opening up soon

Monopole Wine

The owner Peter is shooting for an Oct 1, 2010 grand opening and "strives to be the best wine store in the Pasadena area"

Monopole Wine is located in the Playhouse District in between Elements Kitchen and Zona Rosa Caffe

Urth Caffe

A Notice of Public Hearing announces that Urth Caffe is moving forward through the red tape

Looks good – I’m interested in seeing what Agnes and Angeleo’s looks like. South Lake could use a few more dining options or nightlife venues.

  2. Robb says

This is the worst thing about moving to Pasadena… I’ve only been here 2 months and already gained weight!

  3. Jeff says

Keep up the good work on this blog BG! Can’t wait til urth opens up down the street!

  4. Anthony says

For several semesters now Pasadena City College have used the first site as the first year design studio final. The project has been to redevelop the site stretching from the metro rail to Colorado, creating a tea space. The projects are really developed as the students work on it for half of the class and PCC architecture program and students are some of the best in the nation (they constantly win competitions even beating out university programs). Just thought I’d let you know.
