Pasadena Restaurant Update

I am always glad to see businesses such as El Cholo relocate to a location that is more pedestrian oriented

Check out the new restaurant developments happening around Pasadena.

The owner of Crepe Studio in Old Pasadena expects to open in September and have outdoor seating that wraps around the small building

A new restaurant dubbed "Roxolana" will be taking over 34 S Raymond in Old Pasadena

Roxolana has applied for beer and wine and judging by the name may serve Ukrainian food?

Pandora on Green

Pandora on Green has replaced the former Sasan fashion boutique in Old Pasadena

Pandora on Green, same owner as One Colorado's Santorini Cafe, is a new venue for large parties, events and gatherings

El Cholo

El Cholo will be relocating from their current location on Fair Oaks to this space in Paseo Colorado

Noor, which literally wraps around Bodega Wine Bar in the back, looks to be mostly complete and may open soon

Noor has two separate entrances (probably one for the restaurant and one for the ballroom venue) that wraps around the back of Bodega Wine Bar

I don’t know… El Cholo always seemed to be busy on Fair Oaks. I honestly don’t think it really “fits” in the Paseo, but I guess I’ll wait and see what they do with the space.

    • I saw that the other day when I was at Daisy Mint and checked out the new store where the furniture business used to be on Fair Oaks and Valley St. I am not familiar with Incycle, but it can’t hurt to have another bicycle shop to promote bike riding!

This is great. Love your blog. Any idea what is going on at the old Encounters spot next to Spring Garden on Sierra Madre? They seem to be moving FAST.

  4. With the Pasadena convention center moving full speed ahead, the Paseo Colorado restaurants are looking forward to serving all party sizes, from couples to large banquet events. Congrats to Noor and El Cholo for adding to the diversity of restaurants that make up the Paseo. Really looking forward to their openings. Also the Arclight cinemas are awesome, did the 21 and over only theatre…very cool! Private bar.

I live near Holliston and Washington and was SO disappointed to learn that Motif, a wonderful gift/kitchen store on Washington at Hill, was closing. According to the owner, the landlord gave her 30 days notice, end of story. That short block (with Motif, Archives Bookshop, the Lebanese Kitchen, the sewing/quitlt shop, etc) really gave our neighborhood a sense of place. Any idea what the landlord plans for that large, vacated space???
