Industriel, a new upscale French restaurant that replaces Carl's Jr, gets new signs earlier today as the restaurant space continues to build out (Photo: Joshua Levi)
Usually it seems like permanent signs go up after the opening of a new restaurant, but the new restaurant Industriel–located at the corner of 6th and Grand in the Financial District–decided to do things a little differently. Downtown supporter and resident, Joshua Levi, sends in the picture above taken earlier today when the distressed metallic and black signs were being installed by the front entrance. Construction build out has been on and off for the past year since it replaced Carl’s Jr and hopefully this is also a sign that construction will begin in earnest with an opening in 2012.
Here is some more information about Industriel (and renderings) from Long Beach-based FLO Design Studio that is handling the space:
“INDUSTRIEL – Downtown Los Angeles. A chic filled design with farmhouse mod abstraction and an unrivaled mix of art and industrial elements. FLO design and restaurateur Armen Hakobayan (Green St. Tavern – Pasadena, CA) will provide a tantalizing twist on French Provincial comfort food, impeccable customer service, and an energized space for many.”
