Reminder: Los Angeles Metro Late Night Weekend Service Begins Today

This is a reminder that late night weekend service for the Los Angeles metro begins tonight (Friday). Trains (and the Orange Line busway) will be running until 2AM on Friday and Saturday nights. This is great for Angelenos who partake in the night life of Los Angeles and can still get home safely without drinking and driving.

Here is a great rundown of all train schedules courtesy of Curbed LA:

Red Line
North Hollywood: 1:56 am
Union Station: 2:12 am

Purple Line
Wilshire/Western: 2:01 am
Union Station: 2:02 am

Blue Line
Long Beach Transit Mall to DTLA: 12:53 am
Seventh/Metro: 2:07 am
Long Beach Transit Mall to Wardlow Station: 3:07 am

Gold Line
Sierra Madre: 1:39 am (leaves Union Station at 2:12 am)
Atlantic: 1:43 am (leaves Union Station at 2:12 am)

Orange Line
Chatsworth Station: 1:50 am
North Hollywood: 2:53 am

Expo Line
Culver City: 1:49 am
Seventh/Metro: 2:12 am

Green Line
Redondo Beach: 1:58 am (transfers to Long Beach only, hits Blue Line junction at 2:20 am)
Norwalk: 2:09 am (transfers to Long Beach only, also meets Blue Line at 2:20 am)

  2. Are those the “last departure from” times or the “last arrival at” times?

  3. How is this helpful if clubs and bars close at 2, they should add one more to allow people to make it to the station on time before they close.

    SF does make a point and so do you. Regardless, Metro’s efforts to extend service hours is much better than keeping it the old way. Hopefully, they can extend the hours longer as development in the area (and ridership) increases in the future.
