This is taxation without representation for those people who own property in downtown but do not reside in downtown. Why do residents get to vote on something that only the property OWNERS have to pay for? I am an owner AND resident of downtown and support the streetcar initiative, but the people who pay the tax should have a say in whether or not they have to pay it.
