Denim Refinery is both a retail store and showroom located on the 8th floor of the historic Collection Building at 7th/Grand (across from Bottega Louie)
Last month, a unique denim store concept called Denim Refinery opened its first retail location/showroom on the 8th floor inside the historic Collection Building near 7th and Grand (right across from Bottega Louie). What makes Denim Refinery so awesome (and worth the trip up to the 8th floor) is the unique service they offer allowing customers to revamp their existing (read: boring) denim by personalizing them with a variety of transformative ways such as using laser or special dye techniques (check out some examples here for great before and after shots).
Denim Refinery already has a large stock of vintage and personalized denim designs that shoppers can peruse through at the store in addition to being able to bring in their own denim and customizing it. The space itself adds to the unique shopping experience where large original historic windows and the soaring ceiling height give the store an authentic industrial ambiance befitting the vintage apparel collection. My favorite part about going up to the 8th floor is the elevator ride up. The building still maintains an elevator operator who controls it manually like the old fashioned way.
Denim Refinery is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 6pm, and Saturday from 11am to 5pm. They’re closed Wednesday and Sunday.
Of course, you could also shop virtually at Denim Refinery’s online store.
