Stumptown Coffee Roasters is coming to the Arts District in Downtown LA in a yet-to-be-disclosed location by the end of summer
Several credible sources have confirmed that Portland-based Stumptown Coffee Roasters has secured a location in the Arts District of Downtown LA. The exact location for LA’s first Stumptown is still being kept secret but a source has narrowed it down to an area somewhere between “Handsome Coffee and 7th Street.” In addition to a cafe, the new LA Stumptown will have a large roasting facility to better serve their wholesale clients in the LA area, which includes Spring for Coffee and Cafe Dulce among others. The current timeline is to have Stumptown open by the “end of summer.”
This is great news and further cements LA as a coffee mecca. Handsome Coffee already makes the best lattes hands down in the city (with Intelligentsia close behind), and I’m sure the Stumptown cafe will be equally as exacting.

I would guess it will be on Industrial by the Biscuit lofts.
