Announced last summer, Green Grotto Juice Bar officially opened earlier this month inside the beautiful Broadway-Spring Arcade. The 900 square foot space with outdoor patio seating (even though the whole arcade is technically indoor) sits next door to forthcoming British pub Royal Clayton’s and across from already popular eateries Gelateria ULI and Guisados, both added to the arcade in 2014. Green Grotto keeps its menu simple and refreshing. The juice bar offers, what else, but fresh organic juices made-to-order as well as smoothies and acai bowls for health-conscious downtowners. The owner, Keiran Roberts, has made the diminutive space packed with comfort with free WiFi and charging ports for added convenience.
The Broadway-Spring Arcade in the Historic Core is one of the most amazing spaces in all of Los Angeles. The unique historic corridor — covered with a arched glass atrium and lined with awesome cute little retail spaces — connects Broadway to Spring mid-block between 5th and 6th Street. Up until recently, the arcade was lined with discount stores and was horribly dilapidated after decades of neglect and deferred maintenance. However, the arcade is now finally beginning to show a bright future lined with various eateries that will turn it into the next hottest culinary destination like the venerable Grand Central Market up the street.
Green Grotto Juice Bar is located at 541 S Spring St in Downtown LA and is open Mon to Wed 8 am – 8 pm; Thu 8 am – 9 pm; Fri 8 am – 10 pm; Sat 9 am – 10 pm; Sun 10 am – 6 pm.
