Le Box Blanc Opens First Brick and Mortar in Downtown LA

Le Box Blanc is a new indie women's boutique now open at 11th and Hope in Downtown LA

The intersection of 11th and Hope has become the center of South Park’s growing residential community. Ever since a 7-story parking structure was transformed into a retail center (with an eye-catching mural) a couple of years ago, the immediate surrounding area has become increasingly active, helping to spawn even more creative urban ideas that strengthen South Park’s identity (like this awesome new parklet). It’s truly amazing how sometimes big positive changes come from something as simple as rethinking a lifeless, run-of-the-mill parking structure. Now another great new retailer, online boutique Le Box Blanc, has just opened its first retail location at 11th and Hope contributing to South Park’s growth and revival.

Located on 11th Street directly next door to the new Prank bar and restaurant, Le Box Blanc just opened in late July becoming the first clothing retailer to open on the ground floor of the 19-story Luma residential tower. A sign that the neighborhood is maturing enough to support luxury goods, the 1,800 square foot space is also the first brick and mortar store for the online retailer.

According to Emily Park, who co-owns Le Box Blanc with business partner Esther Paik, they’ve been paying close attention to the developments happening in South Park and felt the timing was right to open a physical location catering to their customers.

“We worked in the [South Park] neighborhood for close to 8 years, and over that time, we really got to know the residents, businesses and buildings,” Park said. “We feel our store really complements the style and experience of living in Downtown LA.”

Le Box Blanc started two years ago and carries a wide range of fashion styles from casual to dressy, “current season must-haves to timeless closet builders.” The store is a multi-brand experience, bringing sought-after designer brands to South Park, such as Frame Denim, 3×1, L’Agence, IRO and A.L.C.

Park wanted to emphasize that Le Box Blanc is a full-service boutique with services including: same-day delivery within Downtown LA, styling for special events, and in-home complete closet overhaul and organization.
