For those who ride the Gold Line (like transit riders in Pasadena en route to Downtown LA), you may have noticed recently that Metro has been upgrading all the light-rail stations with television monitors and scrolling marquees that will display train schedules so riders won’t be left in the dark anymore when it comes to the “next train arrival time.”
So a few months back while checking out some retail space for a potential restaurant, I learned that the 12-story AT&T office building located between Old Town Pasadena and Paseo Colorado was quietly on the market for sale. The aging office building had long lost its ability to command top rents because of its dated interior that will need tons of remodeling done to bring it up to Class A office standards. In this economic climate? It looks like this office building will be on the market for awhile.
For those who have not had a chance to view the condo units for sale inside the Raymond Renaissance, I wanted to post these interior shots of two model units that are on the second floor. One is a two-bedroom unit and the other is a loft.
For all you architecture and history lovers out there, mark your calendars for this Sunday, April 25 for the 21st Annual Bungalow Heaven Home Tour, which is a self-guided walking tour of various homes within Bungalow Heaven.
The exciting adaptive-reuse of the former Livingstone Hotel into 32 luxury condos on Los Robles–just a couple minutes walk to Paseo Colorado–is quickly wrapping up construction with a goal to finish at the end of May.
Crossroads has been open now for a little less than a week in Old Pasadena. As I wrote about before, I am particularly proud about this opening because I specifically called the Crossroads headquarters in the Bay Area and asked if they were interested in opening in Pasadena. They said “Yes” and many months later they are now open! My partner at Keller Williams Commercial, Alan Siebenaler and I, provided tenant representation services for Crossroads.
An exciting historic restoration project is developing on Los Robles Ave, just a 2 minute walk away from Macy’s and Paseo Colorado. The former Livingstone Hotel and Apartments is being converted to 32 luxury condominiums for sale as part of Phase I (Phase II will be a new ground-up project directly adjacent to The Livingstone).
A quick snapshot of the construction of the 28-unit Terra Bella condo project at Cordova and Marengo. The development is now topped out and construction has been progressing consistently (with the exception of the much needed rains we’re getting this season).
A quick snapshot of Westgate from today as construction continues forward on phase I (of 3). Much progress has been made since my last update, and I would guess that construction should wrap up around summertime.
A new luxury development named Sabine (a name from the ancient people of central Italy) is now selling 12 luxury townhouses on South Lake Avenue convenient to and near great shops (like Pavilions, Peet’s Coffee, Noahs Bagels, Macy’s, etc.) geared toward buyers that may desire to live within walking distance to these amenities. Sabine’s design isn’t Italian, but French chateau style and its 12 luxury townhouses start from $1.25 million.
