Lovebirds is now open. Another fast casual dining option for the lunch crowd (breakfast is served as well) at the Pasadena Convention Center and possible future dinner hours according to one of the owners I spoke to at the restaurant grand opening last Thursday (Dec 2, 2010).
There is still some exciting activity going on in Old Town Pasadena (even during this economic slump) when it comes to new restaurant developments. One of the things I’m glad to see in a district known more for chains is a positive trend toward more neighborhood and local serving restaurants over the past few months, such as Intelligentsia coffee opening right up on Colorado Blvd.
Here are some of the latest developments going on with restaurants in Pasadena with an exciting rumor about an exciting location for a possible new restaurant! The rumor, if true, could help tie together the moribund Paseo Colorado with vibrant Old Pasadena.
Passing by the other day, I realized that MaiKobe Japanese restaurant had closed down (probably not that long ago). Although I was sad to see another restaurant close up shop, I was glad to see a new sign declare a change in ownership of the business.
